An entrepreneur is anyone (even “TY Presentation students”) who creates a new business. To be an entrepreneur, you have to innovate a source of new ideas, goods, service or procedures. The problem is that an entrepreneur takes on most of the risks (money and time) but if they succeed, they get to reap most of the rewards (profit).
The process of setting up a business is known as entrepreneurship but we call it “enterprise” in our school.
My Favourite Entrepreneur: Huda Kattan
Huda studied makeupin Los Angeles. She lived in Dubai where she became employed by Revlon as a makeup artist. In April 2010, Huda started a beauty-related blog which she named "Huda Beauty" on which she would post makeup tutorials and tips. In 2013, her first product was a series of false eyelashes in Sephora and then began to offer other beauty products, like eye shadow palettes, liquid lipsticks, lip liners, highlighter palettes, foundations, concealers, baking powders and liquid eyeshadows.
She used Instagram to showcase her brand and has over 49 million followers. In 2021, Huda was ranked number one on Cosmetify Beauty Influencer Rich List.
She is now participating in a campaign to provide food and donated one million meals through her cosmetics company Huda Beauty this year.
